Position Overview 

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Manufacturing to lead our manufacturing function in the development and execution of industry-leading Radio Frequency (RF) and broadband amplifier products. This role is critical in aligning engineering strategy with company goals, driving innovation, and fostering a high-performing team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background in RF electronics, proven leadership capabilities, and a passion for delivering advanced solutions that exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a forward-thinking engineering strategy aligned with the company’s mission to lead the RF and broadband amplifier industry.

  • Collaborate with Product Development leadership to drive innovation in product design, materials, and manufacturing processes.

  • Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team, promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Ensure projects are executed on time and within budget through best-in-class engineering management practices.

  • Oversee organizational structure and resource allocation to meet project goals and key deliverables.

  • Mentor and develop engineering talent, building a high-performing, engaged, and accountable team.

  • Support the full product development lifecycle from ideation through production for new RF amplifier products.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, manufacturing, marketing) to ensure successful product launches.

  • Ensure integration of engineering specs with innovative design concepts to optimize functionality and aesthetics.

  • Work with manufacturing teams to align design outputs with production capabilities for efficient manufacturing transfer.

  • Create and maintain project timelines, milestones, and deliverables in coordination with internal departments.

  • Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to adapt engineering practices and identify technology advancements.

  • Evaluate and implement advanced engineering solutions to enhance product performance, safety, and sustainability.

  • Partner with procurement and supply chain teams to optimize materials and components for cost, quality, and availability.

  • Align engineering outputs with customer needs by leveraging insights from sales, customer service, and marketing.

  • Ensure engineering initiatives meet budgetary guidelines while maintaining product quality and innovation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, preferably Electronic or RF Engineering.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in RF engineering, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Strong preference for candidates with experience in marine engineering or durable goods manufacturing.

  • Proven record of bringing innovative RF or broadband products to market.

  • Expertise in RF circuit design, broadband amplifier technology, and CATV system design.

  • Proficiency with project management tools like Microsoft Project.

  • Experience with automated test software development.

  • Familiarity with integration of RF amplifiers with Smart Amplifier platforms (e.g., 1.8 GHz).

  • Strong understanding of electronics manufacturing and working with design service partners.

  • Working knowledge of board-level design and electronic component sourcing.

  • Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing technical teams.

  • Ability to mentor, guide, and inspire engineers and cross-functional partners.

  • Strong business acumen and ability to align engineering initiatives with broader strategic goals.

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.

Certifications:

  • MSO certifications or similar credentials are a plus.
