Part time – Purchasing/Inventory Associate

Part-Time Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator
Location: Cumming, Georgia 

We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator to join our team on a part-time basis. This person will take over several purchasing and inventory tasks currently handled by engineering and fabrication teams—freeing them up to focus on their core responsibilities. If you enjoy staying organized, building relationships with vendors, and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, this could be a great fit. Some mechanical knowledge is a plus to help understand the materials being ordered.

Duties:

  • Place purchase orders for materials and parts as specified by the engineering team
  • Communicate with vendors and build positive working relationships
  • Receive incoming deliveries and stock them on appropriate project shelves
  • Notify engineering and fabrication teams via email when parts and materials arrive
  • Keep general inventory areas tidy and well-organized
  • Monitor stock levels on frequently used items and alert the team when quantities are low
  • Support process improvements related to purchasing and inventory

Experience Needed

  • Prior experience in purchasing, inventory, or logistics is helpful
  • Mechanical aptitude or experience in a technical environment is a bonus
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills—especially via email
  • Basic computer skills (experience with purchase orders or spreadsheets is great)
  • A proactive mindset and willingness to jump in where needed

Hours:
We’re flexible. You’ll work part-time hours that can be discussed and adjusted based on your workflow and availability. Some tasks may take 1–2 hours daily depending on the pace and efficiency of the individual.
