We’re seeking a Production Supervisor with strong welding and fabrication experience to join a well-established manufacturing operation in Kansas City. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a tangible impact on the shop floor — leading a skilled team, driving quality, and optimizing production flow in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

Why This Opportunity?
If you thrive in a role that blends technical leadership, continuous improvement, and team development — and you're looking for a long-term position with real career growth — this role was built for you.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Leading a team of hourly production employees with a focus on welding and pipe fit-up operations.

  • Ensuring production goals are met while maintaining the highest standards for safety, quality, and efficiency.

  • Providing technical guidance on welding methods, processes, and equipment usage.

  • Reviewing blueprints, work orders, and drawings to ensure accuracy and quality compliance.

  • Supporting and training team members on best practices in welding and fabrication.

  • Driving 5S and safety protocols to maintain a clean and compliant work environment.

  • Collaborating across departments — QA, materials, planning, and maintenance — to optimize workflow and minimize downtime.

  • Assisting with performance evaluations, coaching, and the professional development of team members.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.

  • Strong working knowledge of arc welding processes (FCAW, SMAW, GTAW, GMAW).

  • Proficiency in blueprint reading, dimension checking, and resource allocation.

  • Comfortable working with cranes, cutting tools, molding presses, and welding equipment.

  • Mechanically inclined with strong math and problem-solving skills.

  • A clear communicator and effective leader who fosters teamwork and accountability.
