Senior Project Manager – Equipment Manufacturing Projects

Summary
Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the execution of industrial equipment design/build projects. In this role, you will manage internal and external resources, ensure successful project execution, oversee budgets, optimize cash flows, and improve project margins. This position offers flexibility with a remote work option, though a hybrid arrangement near one of our major U.S. facilities is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Project Manager, you will:
- Lead projects, directing resources to ensure successful execution.
- Act as the single point of contact for clients, managing the company/client relationship throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate and prioritize project activities, monitor progress, and manage risks, contingencies, and resource requirements.
- Oversee projects from sales handover through delivery, supporting commissioning activities as needed.
- Procure and maintain equipment deliveries in alignment with project schedules.
- Attend internal and external project meetings to ensure compliance with Chart and client requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to release and manage technical documentation, resolving issues promptly.
- Interpret and implement contract terms and conditions, including letters of credit, performance bonds, and invoicing.
- Manage project cashflows, maintain up-to-date project costs, and provide periodic performance reports to management and clients.
- Resolve deviations from contractual requirements and manage cost/schedule amendments.
- Organize and coordinate all delivery and dispatch activities.
- Prepare project documentation for handover to Aftermarket and Commissioning teams.
- Optimize efficiencies by reducing costs while improving quality and delivery timelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (required).
- MBA or a bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline is preferred.
- 7+ years of project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- PMP Certification (required).
- 5+ years of experience managing Centrifugal Blower projects.
