Position Overview:
As a Manufacturing Engineering Technician, you will play a key role in supporting production operations by improving equipment, processes, and overall manufacturing performance. This is a hands-on role requiring significant time on the production floor, working closely with operators, maintenance, supervisors, and leadership.
You will serve as a critical link between Maintenance and Production teams, helping troubleshoot issues, improve equipment reliability, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Safety teams to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues using root cause analysis and structured problem-solving
- Spend significant time on the manufacturing floor observing, documenting, and improving machine reliability, efficiency, and throughput
- Engage team members at all levels to gather feedback and build buy-in for improvement initiatives
- Manage multiple projects and shifting priorities while demonstrating ownership and resilience
- Clearly communicate project ideas, objectives, and progress using both data analysis and hands-on observations
- Design and implement custom tooling, fixtures, and layouts to improve production systems
- Establish and document best practices, SOPs, and work instructions
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing role with strong machine operation and/or troubleshooting experience
- High mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot machinery, automation, and industrial equipment
- Experience with project planning, execution, and implementation
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects from concept through completion
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization
- High level of ownership and accountability
- Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) for fixture design and layout development
- Familiarity with TPM, predictive maintenance, and reliability-centered maintenance practices
- Ability to work 2nd shift hours (3:00 P.M. -11:30 P.M.)
- Background and Drug Test will be required
