Quality Systems Engineer

Summary:
TES Recruiting is partnering with a global industrial manufacturer seeking a Quality Systems Engineer to strengthen and standardize its quality infrastructure across multiple facilities. This is not a traditional plant Quality Engineer position focused primarily on daily production issues. The role is centered on quality management systems, document control, CAPA, audit readiness, training systems and the long-term development of scalable global processes. The successful candidate will work across Quality, Operations, Engineering, Training and IT to improve how quality information and requirements are managed throughout the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Support and improve enterprise quality systems covering document control, nonconformance management, CAPA, audits and training.
- Serve as a key user or administrator for electronic QMS platforms, maintaining workflow integrity, data quality and system scalability.
- Partner with IT and software providers on system upgrades, configuration improvements and new functionality.
- Standardize quality procedures, templates, work instructions and forms across manufacturing locations.
- Establish and govern a centralized document-control structure while helping sites transition away from local variations.
- Support risk-based audit planning and ensure system records are prepared well in advance of internal and external audits.
- Identify compliance or system gaps and develop sustainable corrective strategies.
- Analyze quality-system data to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities for global quality leadership.
- Train and support facility teams on quality tools, documentation practices and updated system functionality.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives involving digital quality tools, documentation and cross-functional workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- 4+ years of experience supporting quality management systems in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience with electronic QMS or enterprise quality software, including document control, CAPA, nonconformance or audit modules.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality-system compliance requirements.
- Strong documentation, process standardization and analytical skills.
- Ability to work across facilities and functions, translating system requirements into practical processes.
- Clear communication, strong organization and the ability to work independently.
