About the Role:

We are seeking a driven and strategic Business Development Manager – Data Center Solutions to expand market share within the rapidly growing data center industry. This role is responsible for developing new business opportunities and driving specification sales for data center products and solutions across hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data center projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong relationship-building skills, technical sales experience, and a proven ability to manage complex, long-cycle project opportunities within the data center construction ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans focused on hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data center markets.
  • Identify and pursue new project opportunities with data center operators, EPC contractors, general contractors, electrical contractors, and MEP firms.
  • Collaborate with data center consultants, design engineers, and A&E firms to secure product specifications during the design-build phase.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and project stakeholders throughout the data center market.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle from opportunity identification and proposal development through negotiation and project close.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on fastening applications and provide technical consultation, site support, and design assistance to customers.
  • Utilize CRM systems such as Microsoft Dynamics to manage pipeline activity, maintain accurate forecasting, and document customer interactions.
  • Represent the organization at industry conferences and events including DCD, 7×24 Exchange, and AFCOM to increase brand awareness and generate leads.
  • Identify value-engineering opportunities that improve installation efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to support customer requirements and project execution.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence in all business activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Business, or a related technical field preferred.
  • 3–6 years of experience in B2B sales or business development within data center infrastructure, construction fasteners, or structural/mechanical solutions required.
  • Direct experience selling into hyperscale data centers (e.g., Google, AWS, Meta) or Tier 1 colocation providers preferred.
  • Proven experience managing long-cycle project sales processes ranging from 6–18 months.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, design specifications, and 2D/3D layouts.
  • Excellent networking, relationship-building, and consultative sales skills.
  • Strong presentation and communication abilities with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with value-engineering solutions that reduce installation time and operational costs preferred.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and pipeline management tools.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed to support customer meetings, project sites, and industry events.
  • This is a full-time salaried role.
