About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and operate a variety of CNC and manual machine tools to produce precision parts and assemblies.
Key Responsibilities:

Adhere to all applicable Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) regulations, policies, and procedures.

Actively participate in applicable Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) programs and initiatives.

Independently set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment, including mills, lathes, grinders, and wire EDM equipment.

Write programs for CNC mills, lathes, and wire EDM equipment and edit existing programs as necessary.

Develop, document, and maintain CNC programs and program modifications utilizing CAM software.

Design and develop fixtures to facilitate efficient and repeatable machining of components.

Inspect machined parts and assemblies using precision measuring tools and equipment.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical instructions, codes, standards, and specifications, including tolerancing and GD&T requirements.

Document machining activities within the CMMS system and through written and verbal communication.

Write and maintain machining setup and inspection procedures.

Plan, organize, and kit machining jobs to support production requirements.

Help maintain parts Kanban systems throughout the shop and factory floor.

Collaborate with Production, Engineering, New Product Development, and other internal teams to execute production and business objectives.

Support continuous improvement and New Product Development initiatives through the proposal, development, and implementation of machining and manufacturing solutions.

Participate in continuous improvement programs and initiatives to improve quality, efficiency, safety, and productivity.

Mentor and train other CNC machinists as needed.

Maintain a professional and collaborative working environment and demonstrate a commitment to teamwork, trust, and excellence.

Work overtime and weekends as necessary to support production requirements.
Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

NIMS Level II Certification required.

Applicable Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree, technical certification, or related machining certification preferred.

Minimum of 7+ years of CNC machining experience in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment preferred.

Strong CNC machining skills with the ability to independently set up and operate a variety of machining equipment.

Experience operating CNC mills and lathes; HAAS equipment experience preferred.

Experience operating wire EDM equipment; GF/Agie Charmilles experience preferred.

Experience operating four-axis or higher machining equipment preferred.

Experience programming CNC equipment using Mastercam and/or ESPRIT preferred.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical instructions, codes, standards, and specifications.

Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).

Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, fixturing, and good manufacturing practices.

Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
