CNC Machinist

Schedule: – 2nd Shift
Monday – Thursday – 3:30 PM – 2:00am
Pay Range:
$25.00 – $45.00 per hour (based on specific experience and skills)
Job Overview:
A manufacturing company is seeking a CNC Machinist to operate and set up large machining equipment to produce precision metal components. This role involves reading blueprints, running CNC machines, inspecting finished parts, and supporting team members on the shop floor.
Responsibilities:
- Read and review engineering drawings and specifications
- Select proper tooling for machining operations
- Set up and operate CNC machines (such as VTL or HBM)
- Edit and maintain CNC programs
- Inspect and measure finished parts to ensure quality standards
- Support continuous improvement in machining processes
- Assist in training less experienced machinists when needed
Qualifications:
- Preferred: 3+ years of CNC machining experience – Will take entry level and train / develop them.
- Experience working with lower production volumes or custom parts
- Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T
- Experience using inspection tools (hand gauges, CMM, etc.)
- Experience with CNC programming and G-code
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM or machine control systems
- Overhead crane or rigging experience is a plus
- Manual machining background is beneficial.
