Position Overview:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment. This role supports safe, efficient, and reliable operations through preventive maintenance, repairs, and continuous improvement efforts.

The position requires strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and maintain production machines and facility equipment across the main site and satellite locations
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs on a wide range of equipment
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and facility systems
  • Perform scheduled maintenance during production downtime to support uptime and efficiency
  • Respond to emergency and unscheduled equipment repairs
  • Support building and grounds maintenance to ensure safety, functionality, and overall facility upkeep
  • Coordinate with contractors, obtain quotes, and oversee contractor work on-site
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, diagrams, and work orders
  • Diagnose issues, replace or repair parts, and perform adjustments to restore equipment to proper operation
  • Use hand tools, power tools, electrical meters, and material handling equipment
  • Identify and report abnormal conditions, taking immediate action when safety is at risk
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify and correct failure causes and prevent recurrence
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with 5S standards
  • Work collaboratively with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to support daily operations
  • Perform tasks independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing or maintenance role
  • Strong mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and industrial troubleshooting skills
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems and PLCs
  • High school diploma or GED required; completion of a craft apprenticeship or equivalent experience preferred
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform frequent bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and electronic) across all levels of the organization
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to work 2nd shift hours (2:30P.M.-11:30P.M.)
  • Willingness to work at least one Saturday per month and adjust schedule as needed to support operations
  • Flexibility to adjust break and lunch schedules based on production needs
  • Background and Drug Test will be required

Preferred Skills:

  • Journeyman Millwright experience
  • Pneumatic and/or hydraulic certifications
  • Pipefitting experience
  • Welding experience (TIG, MIG, and stick)
