Summary:
TES Recruiting is partnering with a growing industrial manufacturer seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to improve production processes, integrate equipment and support manufacturing performance across its Utah operations. The role will work closely with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering to solve production problems, improve flow and reliability, and implement practical equipment and automation solutions. The company can consider different experience levels, but the successful candidate must be comfortable moving between engineering design, equipment integration and hands-on manufacturing support.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes, equipment and production methods to increase safety, quality, throughput and reliability.
  • Design, specify and integrate machinery, tooling, fixtures, automation and supporting systems.
  • Lead or support equipment projects from requirements development and concept design through installation, validation and production release.
  • Analyze production issues, perform root-cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Develop equipment and cell layouts that improve material flow, ergonomics, maintainability and operator effectiveness.
  • Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Electrical and Controls teams to solve manufacturing problems and support new technology.
  • Create and maintain CAD models, drawings, bills of material, technical specifications and manufacturing documentation.
  • Apply Lean and continuous improvement methods to reduce waste, cycle time, downtime and process variation.
  • Support equipment commissioning, testing, training and process validation activities.
  • Manage assigned project scope, schedule, budget and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial or a related Engineering discipline.
  • 2+ years of manufacturing, mechanical, automation or industrial engineering experience; level can flex for the right candidate.
  • Experience designing or integrating production machinery, automation, tooling or manufacturing systems.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD or comparable CAD software.
  • Demonstrated success with manufacturing problem-solving, process improvement and equipment commissioning.
  • Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing, DFM, controls, robotics or validation practices is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills and a practical, self-directed approach to engineering work.
  • Travel: The role will support three local Utah-area sites. Additional travel is expected to be limited and may reach approximately 10%.
