Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Plumbing Service Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems and equipment. This field-based role is critical to diagnosing technical issues, resolving customer service concerns, and preventing future operational or service-related problems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to quality workmanship while serving as a key communication link between the company and its customers.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate activities related to the installation, service, and repair of plumbing systems and equipment

Review and manage service schedules, with assistance from the Department Manager, to ensure timely completion of service calls

Coordinate project materials, equipment needs, and delivery schedules to maintain productivity and meet projected timelines

Analyze plumbing systems to determine root causes of issues and recommend repair, replacement, or corrective action

Double-check completed work to minimize callbacks and repeat service issues

Provide on-site technical assistance to troubleshoot and repair plumbing equipment and systems

Complete service tickets accurately, legibly, and thoroughly, and submit them in a timely manner

Serve as a communication link between customers and the company to ensure effective service delivery and customer satisfaction

Respond to service calls promptly, including after-hours emergency service when assigned

Attend training programs, schools, and seminars to maintain and advance technical knowledge

Comply with all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on safety

Perform additional duties as required to support service operations
Qualifications & Skills

Associate degree (A.A.) from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Ability to read and interpret technical documents, manuals, drawings, and instructions

Ability to write routine service reports and correspondence

Strong verbal communication skills with customers and internal teams

Demonstrated ability to solve practical problems in situations with limited standardization

Ability to interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, and schedule-based instructions

Working knowledge of mathematical concepts including fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions

Familiarity with basic geometry and trigonometry as applied to plumbing systems preferred

Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to customer sites as required
