Production Coordinator

A growing industrial manufacturer is seeking a detail-oriented Production Coordinator to support scheduling, project releases, order flow, and on-time delivery within a fast-paced fabrication operation. This person will serve as a key link between production, project teams, material coordination, customer-facing groups, and branch locations to ensure work is released accurately, schedules remain current, and issues are resolved before they impact delivery.
The ideal candidate has manufacturing coordination, production planning, customer-order, or scheduling experience and is comfortable managing many moving pieces at once. They should be organized, proactive, technically capable, and able to communicate clearly with both shop-floor and office-based teams.
Responsibilities

Coordinate production schedules and communicate upcoming project releases, priorities, and schedule changes to production supervisors.

Schedule fabrication projects in the company’s production system, ensuring orders and drawings are complete and aligned with specifications.

Partner with project teams, material coordinators, sales, customer care, and branch locations to confirm material availability and project readiness.

Release orders according to production schedules and manage related ERP, order-entry, and scheduling-system activities.

Track project status, identify scheduling or order issues, and coordinate timely resolution with the appropriate internal teams.

Own communication and status updates related to fabrication orders, project progress, and customer delivery commitments.

Monitor and support improvement of on-time performance for catalog and project-based orders.

Support production leadership with runtime data, reporting, documentation, and administrative coordination.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical, manufacturing, or business training is a plus.

Experience in production coordination, scheduling, order management, manufacturing administration, or a related role preferred.

Familiarity with ERP, scheduling, or production-management systems; experience with fabrication workflows is a plus.

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, with the ability to manage accurate data and documentation.

Clear written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-moving environment.
