About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Tool and Die Maker II to support the assembly, repair, and maintenance of installation tools in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for assembling new tools, repairing returned customer tools, and ensuring all products meet quality and performance standards. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience using hand and power tools, and the ability to read and interpret technical documentation and blueprints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, work instructions, and technical documents to determine assembly procedures and material requirements.
  • Assemble mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and electro-mechanical components and subassemblies using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
  • Perform testing, inspections, and quality control checks to ensure products meet specifications and functional requirements.
  • Troubleshoot tool failures and support root cause analysis activities for repairs and assembly issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of production activities, repairs, test results, and completed work orders.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment in accordance with 5S standards.
  • Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and organizing parts and components at workstations.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to improve assembly processes and support production deadlines.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 6–12 months of experience in assembly, manufacturing, or a related production environment required.
  • Technical certification or vocational training in manufacturing, assembly, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience with soldering, wiring, or electro-mechanical systems preferred.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and hand-eye coordination.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles preferred.
