Pay: $20–$25/hour Depending on Experience

Summary
Swiftemp is assisting a growing manufacturing company in the search for a Welder / Fabricator with 2–5 years of hands-on fabrication and welding experience. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment and takes pride in producing quality work.

The ideal candidate will have experience reading blueprints, fitting and fabricating parts, and performing MIG welding on a variety of metal components. Candidates should be dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working independently as well as part of a production team.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform MIG welding on steel and other materials as required
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
• Fabricate, fit, and assemble metal components to print specifications
• Operate fabrication equipment including grinders, saws, and hand tools
• Inspect finished welds and fabricated components for quality and accuracy
• Perform layout and measuring activities using tape measures, squares, calipers, and gauges
• Maintain production standards while ensuring quality workmanship
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production needs and issues
• Support continuous improvement and shop organization initiatives

Qualifications
• 2–5 years of welding and fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong MIG welding experience required
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication blueprints and weld symbols
• Experience using standard fabrication and measuring tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Stable work history and dependable attendance

Preferred Qualifications
• TIG welding experience is a plus
• AWS certifications preferred but not required
• Experience in sheet metal or structural fabrication environments preferred
• Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus
